does the d15 model 1989 in and d16z6 block is the same ?.

soft of but the deck hight, the stroke, the rods, the head, and the pistons are diffrant


wait i guess there nothing realy alike then :P


what information are you trying to figgure out exactly??

i need to put vitara pistons and d16z6 rods and vtec head in d15b block and turbo it.

i know it may be confusing but that becuse law in my city ( free zone area) cant use motor more than 1500 cc

my city is port said EGYPT

Then here is what you do. You bore out the block to a 1.6 and put the vtec head on there with the pistons. Instant 1.6 liter.

bore is the same sorry but the deck height is diffrant


not sure if vitaras fit with d16 rods probly will stick out to much but i know with d15 rods it will be to low compression

Just to make sure, your block code is just D15B? not D15B1 or D15B2?

no not realy were talking compression in the 7.5:1 area and if you ever want to spool any thing decent its going to take a while with that kind of compression

i will check today which d15b it is. its crx 1989 the its DPfi which has smal carb. above the engine.

i checked it today. yes its d15b2 . so i cant install vitara pistons , z6 rods,z6 cranck,z6 sleaves in this d15b2 block ?
