Hahaha.

I'm just scared of Honda trannies ever since my first Honda tranny went...

This would be my 3rd broken Honda tranny...and I don't even shift hard or do burnouts ever...

But ---- this one. I'm driving it till it explodes. Really...w/242k miles on it (and from the shape of the car, probably well-beaten miles), this tranny can't last forever. I'm just much to particular about noises my car makes I think.

 

different FD's make different noises due ti the angle of the teeth.

to me, 4.058 FD's are the loudest that I've driven.

 

I do think these D series vx trannies are louder than my LS tranny, but this scraping noise at idle is pretty damn strange...at least it isn't all the time.
