I am going to boost the d16a block with forged rods and pistons, but use stock sleeves as they can handle 400hp.
thinking the si tranny, not sure on the lsd yet. Does it really make that big of a difference? LMK

I'd at least pin/post the stock d-series sleeves...before i'd trust them to 400hp.

personally i would build the ZC....

reasons why:
1. it's heavier, want traction w/ that 350hp?
2. u allready have the motor
3. it's dual cam..... kno about overlap? get some turbo cams
4. use the ZC tranny..... 4.4 compared to 4.25..... highway drivings a bitch tho i'm at 4000rpm at 80mph
5. if u go w/ forged pistons and rods.... no balance is necessary on them .... they come pre balanced (w/in 1 gram of each other)
6. i believe the ZC's have a better rod/stroke ratio than SOHC D16's but i could be wrong.... B16's are perfect w/ a 1.75 that's why ppl can rev them to 9000+
7. DOHC is sexy w/ a turbo attached

why don't you go with the ls turbo instead cuase you want to upgrade
what you have and spend the money once if you build the D later you will
want more out of it and if you go B build it and sell the other set up for more funds

for 300-350 you can get away with a D series at around half the price as a B series since the TT rods and vitarsa combo would come to about 335 and you could hardly look at a set of B's for that price then stilll ahve to buy rods. plu speople give away D block all the time, ---- i got a Y8 block and a whoel Z6 motor that just needed a valve fo rfree in the past few weeks.

just my opinion but you know it all comes down to personal preferance.

rather than wasting a lot of money swapping in a B series, take that money and invest it in some CP pistons and eagle rods. Then follow the Sticky above and Devcon fill the block. You could EASILY make 350whp on that....
