Default D series transmission Questions.

Will the gear set from a hydro EX trans fit into the DX cable case.

I can't seem to find a decently priced Si cable trans around here.

I can probably get a free cable DX from a friend , and hydro D series transmissions seem to sell cheaper for some reason.

nope.

Ring gears are interchangeable, but you still will need the Si 4.25 L3 counteshaft to make it work.

So the ring gears are the only interchangeable parts between them. I didn't know if it was like the YS1 and the later hydro trans where you could swap the entire gear set, 1-5 and the FD, into the older cable case. I don't really care about the FD that much, I just don't want the long *** gears of the DX.

Chris, you have a PM.

Thanks guys.
