Default d series rods

im gonna get a set of tuner toys rods. still indecided on the i beam or the h beam. i want the least hassle as possible when putting them in. he said the i beams are for all motor and the h beams are for turbo. but both are rated at 500 hp with the included arp rods bolts.
since the i beams are for all motor, but dont require notching, but support 500 hp. do think it would be suitable for my setup. ill be pushing 18psi max in hopes of 300whp.

dude, go with the H beams.. all that boost could cause the other ones to snap. assuming the are thicker than the I beams. thats just my opinion though so good luck.

This is a good question since I was wondering the same thing. Is it that big of a deal to notch a block since it seems like this is a concern to building a D block?

I had to notch my block with my Ibeams, I bet you probably have to notch the tunertoyz rods too.

jeff...do you think the i beams will handle 18psi...they are rated to 500hp...but they are for "all motor" there isnt a difference between 500 hp all motor or 500 hp boosted? stupid question but im just trying to save time

I'm not going to tell you that those Taiwan I-beam rods will hold 500hp. But if you are really planning on boosting the ---- out of this engine and looking for big numbers, dont even hesitate, get the H beams.
