I am thinking of buying a d16y8 crank for my sohc zc. A freind of mine told me that the d16y8 crank is more prone to spinning bearings is there any truth in this. Btw, the crank has been micropolished and had the oil holes spooned.

 

it's the oil pump, not the crank that is the problem.
