CTR pistons on P30 rods..
I've machined down the rods to fit into the piston, but I forgot which way the piston sits on the rod.
There is a notch on one side of the rod, does that go towards the crankpulley to match the arrow on top of the pistons, or does is it flipped and the arrow points to the crankpulley, and the notch is on the opposite side?

..forget it.. sheesh.
For sake of adding information to the archives:
The edge where the rod size is imprinted goes on the intake side of the motor.
And of course, the arrow on the top of the piston points towards the crankpulley.

Re:CTR pistons on P30 rods..
Hahaha.. ya, I've been out of the SOHC motors for a while now...
They just weren't cutting it. I'm throwing together a high compression B16 right now so I can pull my LS and give that block a little love and make my LS/VTEC Turbo.
...all while secretly building the GSR.

Ya... it's been sitting in the garage completely torn apart ready for the rebuild. So far, I only have the rods.
Went with Eagle H's.. Make the GSRs look like tooth picks.
I'll be ordering my pistons next week.. Wiseco 84.5mm 8.8:1 compression.. wh00p!
..the Holset owns my CFM needs.
