hi,

I have an 1990 european CRX (engine D16Z5), PM7 ECU, no turbo, and im having the following problem

yesterday I drove home and 400mtr from home..it just died. I mean, the engine just quit and it didn't start again.
So i changed the ignition (i tried 2), i changed the ECU, nothing happens. I just don't get it to spark. The plugs and cables are just a few months old so that can't be a problem eighter.

Does anybody knows what this might be ? what signals should i have to get it to spark ?

oh btw, i didn;t get a code on the ECU.

 

check the dizzy
check the cap, coil, rotor, and ignitor
and the main relay

 

i already changed the complete ignition twice. both had a new rotor and cap. one had a new ignition module. Nothing changes.

The dizzy...whats that ? i mean, im dutch so im not sure what u mean by that.

About the main relay....i do get it to crank...its just not starting ? with the main relay down it shouldn't crank either or am i wrong ?
I have a spare one somewhere...ill check it to be sure

 

it can still crank with a bad main relay.

and dizzy=distributor.

 

sounds like a prob i had... test the wires on the fuel pump... or just run a power wire to it and see if that gets it going...

 

I do think it gets fuel don't really know exactly. I do know it does not spark. I pulled a plug out and checked it.

 

Check your coil, I've had coil's open up on me before, you can check it with a ohmeter I beleive.

Ummm, did you make sure the timing belt is still intact?
