Ive heard of way more guys blowing up CRVtecs then LS/Vtecs.. any truth to that? Ive seen stripped hatches run mid 13s with just and LS/Vtec and a stage 4 clutch.

 

i would go with the ls/vtec...everyone i've seen runs like a raped date. And even though some say a crv/vtec makes more power, i've also seen more of those destroy themselves. It's a shame the b16 doesn't have more ***** to it, because out of all the b-series it has an almost perfect r/s ratio. Plain and simple, go with the ls with a b16 head.

 

B18a/b on a budget is perfect or lsvtec ofr more $. If you go B20 CRV I'd suggest you sleeve it. How much $$$ do you wanna spend

 

A B18a/b and B20b/z share the same R/S Ratio, So no advantage. The B20 has weaker sleeves, but more displacement, so it would theoreticly make more power. But a higher chance of blowing up. I'd go with a Ls/Vtec.. My personal fav.. a Poormans vtec

 

I'm going to make an LS/VTEC so you know all the cool kids are doing it.

 

I like my LS VTEC, hella lot faster then my old b16 and the torque kicks. Plus it IS cheaper than a CRVTEC with better sleeves. I haven't boosted it yet so I can't say anything about that. Abaz has had both setups, if he recommends the LS I would trust him.
