CRVtec or LS/Vtec
Hey people, im thinkin about acquiring a civic in the next 2-3 weeks and wanna swap out the d16 in favor of a frankenstein, i just cant decide between the LS/vtec and the CRVtec. I've been searching around the net and i get mixed reviews, and all i ever hear about is "r/s ratios" how it sucks on the LS/vtec and is almost perfect on the CRVtec, help me people !!!!! Also i plan to boost, so keep that in consideration. thanks!

Re:CRVtec or LS/Vtec
the gsr head will never flow as well as the b16 head. my setup is a b18b bloack with a full factiry rebuild and a 99 b16 head. its my daily driver and i ran 14.7 in it with a full interior in my 92 civic ex sedan. should have been faster too, look in my signature

Re:CRVtec or LS/Vtec
I'm sure thier are advantages, but doesn't anyone think that the tech guys from honda would've gone with whatever head on whatever motor to make power. I'm not trying to start a fight, I run mini, but I've heard more then when it comes to d/b combos. Ya figure if those japs didn't do it, it was probably for the best. They have equipment most of us would kill our mothers for, and probably test all types of ideas.

Re:CRVtec or LS/Vtec
you should go with an b20 vtec becuz if your turbocharging it, the b20 block has good low compression which is perfect for turbocharging. the b18a/b18b is also good but the compression is higher which means your chances of a blown motor are greater. having the b20 is best if u would like to boost alot
