Default crank pulley??

Anyone have any suggestions how i get the crank pulley off my short block y8.. When its outta the car, Theres no flywheel on. I tryed an impact but i think it was pretty weak. Might try and bolt or wedge a piece of steel where the fly wheel bolts are and . use a long breaker bar. Im open for suggestions

If you already have the flywheel off, might as well fork over the 50-60 beans for the snap-on tool that fits inside the pulley.

Try to throw a flywheel on and throw a screwdriver through it... if you can. I couldn't on my B18B block, so I had to bust out the impact gun. 90 PSI on the highest setting for a few seconds took it right off.

but a bolt in the flywheel for the pressure plate, the a tranny to motor bolt into the block.

Now insert a wrench between them to lock the flywheel from movement.

That trick is older than me!

i always just pop the oilpan off, and wedge a piece of wood in the cylinder, turn it until the crank stops. then break the bolt loose with a breaker bar.i found it easier to lay the motor on its side and, put one foot on it or have somebody fat stand on it..another thing too is slide it somewhat under your car let the jack down alittle but not where it has pressure on the block and then turn the bolt..

Any suggestions? or save myself the time and effort and just get a puller?
