Default Coil overs...

Allright so now that my car is running Im going for the speed....

Ive only got a D series motor and have blown enough to know they suck...so I wann get everything else taken care of before I go B series..

Whats a good set of coil overs for a 00' civic...I dont want to spend too much and just want to stiffen the ride a bit...found some on ebay for $40 but thats just scary..

Anyone know where to get them for cheap?

Im sorry but im on my third D16Y7 since I bought the car....

I dont have much faith in that motor since I ran Mobil 1 Full synthetic changed every 2500 miles....and the car rarely saw 85mph.

Bottom ends went out on all so Im not sure how that would handle boost....and money should be ok, ive got a truck so this is going to be over time...im looking for like 250hp

LS/VTEC or B18C1, something like that....

the y7 and y8 motors are notorious for spinning bearings.. thats why i decided to sell my y8 and opt for a d16z6 which i will be boosting. As far as coil overs, save up your money and get some ground controls! I have them on my car and its insane how good they work. eibach springs and adjustable perches... they look super too. good luck

dude, don't go with coilovers.

think about it, are you really going to be adjusting your suspension every day or whatever??

a performance coil spring will give you a lot more dampening control and provide a much firmer ride. I've never liked coil overs, I don't like bouncing all around going over uneven payment on the highway either (stock 2g gst suspension).

Do it right, get the right parts, drop it an inch or so and it will be all good
