A puc disk referes to the "pucs" that are on it. Almost all of these are ceramic discs and makes them very hard on your flywheel. They look more like a fan blade that a disk, with the "pucs" spaced evenly around it. I think the best setup for the street is a kevlar full face disc. As for the kevlar..that is what makes it so good...you can feather it without it chattering, and it will take tons of heat without turning to "hairy stuff". Honestly if you are not running more than 250hp you should be able to use the factory clutch (with the springs in it), just get the disk relined with kevlar. But I'm not positve about this because I haven't acually seen it in a car. I'm just going to leave my factory setup in my car when I get done boosting it just to see how far it will go before it dies. I'll let you know how it works out if I EVER get this thing finished. (I have a B16 too)If you do cut the flywheel a little short...don't go to far. (BTW, I think the step on that wheel is .112...it's the only honda F/W with a step that goes up in the middle instead of down) If you think of the pressure plate as a lever..there is a certain point in it that has more leverage that anywhere else. If anything..cutting the flywhell a little shallow will make the clutch engadge more abruptly. It's all really personal preferance.

so you think one of the cheap ebay/Exedy (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=1876375846) clutches would be ok for 250hp?

What is wrong with a Puk setup? as long as it has a sprung hub you should be just fine for street use.

Why not got with an ACT clutch.. they work very well.

A clutch setup, is not something you should cheap out on at all, unless you like R&R trannys all the time.

the ACT clutched are ------ expensive! MSPR is like 400-500 on what appear to be the same clutches from Action (325 for a 6 puck sprung w/heavy duty PP)...

i just finished installing a exedy street racing clutch. its so light i feels lighter than stock!! its supposed to hold up to 350 hp thats why i bought it.. it was 270$ shipped with new everything( tools/the released bearing and everything. its to light to the point i'm not quite used to. i thought i was due to improper bleeding but it was right maybe that'll help you decide as an alternative.. i havent break into it yet so when i do i'll tell you how it feels but i still have to fix my distributer problem first.. truthfully i need a lil heavier feel to the pedal not too much like my old one( i dont kno the brand it was already installed from b4 original owner said it was ACt..)but my other fren installed a ACt stage one(i think thats the very basic one.. extreme plate/organic disc. but it holds strong with a good some what heavy pedal( very teeny difference from stock) and i love that one.. wish i had the money for it..
