Default Clutch

So im putting together my clutch. There is the flywheel then the disc then the piece that goes over the disc and bolts up to the flywheel. The part that bolts to the flywheel does not go all the way down. Then i threw the stock one back on and it still doesnt sit flat on the flywheel... Any ideas? Is it made to do this and from the bolts getting tighter will it make it sit flat? Thanks!

It should not just slide around on its own. Just get it lined up on the three pins and then tighten it evenly all around.

Are you sure you should be doing this?

Just tighten it down, do you think if there was no excess contact between the Flywheel to the clutch to the PRESSURE PLATE that it would hold power!

It's called a Pressure plate, and there is a reason why it's called that!

Heres the procedure man, place the disk on the flywheel with whichever part of the disk hub sticking out more facing the pressure plate. Then line the pressure plate up on the 3 dowel pins, and smack it with a book or rubber mallot till it sits flat. The pressure plate teeth will only go flat when they are tightened down onto the flyywheel. Am i the only one who cauught this? Why are you doing it off the car? You wont be able to bolt the flywheel up once its all together....
good luck
