Car idles rough

Default Car idles rough

i have a 93 civic ex with a d16z6 sohc vtec and it idles like at 200 rpms then it kicks up to around 800 rpms or so it runs smooth after 1000rpms the plugs are good new wires cap and rotor what could this be maybe the timing got bumped somehow? also any way to give it just a hint more fuel its running a little lean thanks

I would for sure check out the timing. Timing adjustments (if not set to factory) can cause all sorts of wierd problems. Pick up a timing light from Autorzone or someplace and just see where it's at right now.

My car does that do, but it is because of the timing being advanced 3 degrees.

are you guys referring ot the timing of the cams? my car idle's funny. i checked my iac vavle and its clean. i changed my sparks. but whats next is my spark plugs and rotor that i didn't change yet. but i remember changing the timing of my cams. does that mess up the idle?
