Yea thats what im wondering if it would be that much of a difference?

I thought that the d15b was 3 stage vtec? would it fit the y8? Im sort of new to engine building my friend is helping me.

 

The obd-2 I believe were. I have only dealt with the obd-1 d15b which are not

 

O I C, well i doubt i get my hands on one! so does anyone else no much about the z6 vs. y8 vs. a6!

I broke my cam during my engine tear down. (don't ask) I was searching for a stock cam and considered a z6 (seemed more available). I read that the z6 cam slightly off on the timing mark. I believe it's 2 degrees, but I can't remember which way. I say you keep yourself out of harms way and get a y8. Less potential problems down the line.

 

Ok the head already has a y8 in it since that what it is, but i thought since im rebuilding i might as well do it why its out! Humm im undecided what to do yet! lol I got about a week to decide

 

so rob how much is a obd-1 JDM d15b cam worth too you? And ill try to ship you stuff out tomorrow.

avoid any 99+ y8 intake manifold. they have EGR. can still make it work, but more difficult.

 

Do they have the little holes?? Yes ive heard they are a pain!!! Im going to be using my A6 si manifold, since i dont have another one, i have a Y7 with the throttle body horizontal!! The A6 should flow good enough?

 

come on dogg, you know the a6 cam ain't vtec!!!
