Ok, well im building my y7/y8 mini me, and ive been told to use the Z6 cam?? Im not sure why, but is there a reason for this? and what would be the best for boost?

Umm well i was thinking about stock cams for now since im rebuilding, i have the y8 in the head now, but ive heard that the z6 is better? which would be the best for a little boost, what about a a6 si cam?

I'm not sure what stock cam would be the best to use, but I do know the Z6 head flows better than the Y8 head. The Y8 intake manifold flows better than the Z6 intake manifold though.

 

Yea well im going to be using a Y7 block with Z6 rods, and pistons,(lower compression i think) and the Y8 head, A6 intkae since its going into a OBDO car and si tranny. PM6 1 wire with turboedit. t25 setup.

 

the z6 cam is a little more agressive, if you can get one cheap, go ahead and use it.

You can use a OBD2 or OBD1 intake manifold in your OBD0 Car, just swap out the injectors... and thats it!

Sensors are the same, and you can use the newer style throttle body too and just use the map sensor on the tbody.

If you can get your hands on a jdm d15b cam they are the largest of the factory sohc vtec cams.

Well I have had all 3 out and compared them and by the looks of it the d15b has much larger vtec lobes. I heard someone speced it vs the street zex cam and they were similar I think it was on sohchonda.com. Guess thats why it makes 130 hp.
