Default Cam Gear question

I have 1988 Acura Integra(D16A1) cyclinder head. Everyone was saying you could use any b-series aftermarket cam gears off set was slight. Well, that may be true for the actual ZC head but for the piece of ---- american ZC(D16A1) head which is what i have and an acutal ZC block. The cam gears are not small like the b-series they are big like the sohc's they seem to be the exact same size. My question is I was woundering if i could use 2 AEM sohc gears in place of my ZC(D16A1)'s cam gears? Looking at the cam gears they seem like they would work but i was woundering if anyone would know if this would work or not. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
