I dropped some dsm 450s I had and one of the pintle caps broke off, but the pintle itself looks to be in good shape. I am wondering if any of you guys have used injectors w/o the caps on, or if you know where I can get a replacement cap. I suppose it could be affecting the spray pattern somewhat, but I doubt it.

It will work fine as long as all pieces of the cap are off, you don't want pieces falling in.

yep, you should be ok. i've used one with a broken cap also and didn't have a problem.
