Default "BRAKE" light on '01 GSR

Ok, shortly after I lowered my '01 GSR it started this problem. At first it was only if I let it sit a couple days or if I started it up in the early morning when it was cool out. But now that the weather has become cooler all the time its getting to be anoying.
I'll start the car and the BRAKE light that usually comes on with the E brake will be on. It will stay on until the car warms up and then go off for the remainder of the trip.

As of late it stays on longer (but its colder outside now) , it will go off when I brake for a stop light and then come back on as soon as I take off again. Usually does this for about 10min or until the car is good and warm then it goes off for the rest of the trip.

But if I let it sit long (like over night or while I'm at work) it comes on again when I start it back up.

Why would it do this? This is my nice car, the one thats supposed to not have any problems
