why not pull the crank?

pull your crank. Label your bearings. Re install

But if you want to do it go for it. You have been warned

poor lil motor.... and poor guy....

a few easy beer drinking hours of pulling the motor will save you from the same if not MORE gay-under the car-painful-annoying hours. Its like this... spend 4 hours doing it right (standing and working in a comfortable position).... or spend 7 hours doing it wrong (on your back getting metal shavings EVERYWHERE) and another weekend fixing ---- when stuff goes wrong (and at this stage you will probably do things the right way that you should have done in the first place... assuming the motor doesn't get trashed.)

Keep us updated on how this goes... should be interesting.

Please pull the motor for the motors sake! Metal shavings are definitely going to kill the bearings.

Already making a video writeup on how to do it in car.. thank you for your suggestions!! I would love to pull it but lack of tools and a super tight budget is not allowing me to do so.. I will publish the writeup after break in of the motor.. That way there is no question that everything was cleaned throughly.
