Default Big Block Honda D?

I'm new to the honda world, but was wondering if you could match up a D17 (2001-03?) block to a Z6/Y8 head? Yes, no, what would compression be, will mounts work from a standard d-series engine bay, ECU, tranny fit...? Anyone have experience with this, or know where I could find info?

Thanks!

D17 spins the other way.
Honda switched from the 'backwards' spinning engines awhile ago.
Interesting idea none the less.

D17's still spin counter clockwise, K-series spin the right way..

Buy a D17 head gasket and let us know if it fits on the normal D16 style

Also bell housing configuration may be different, who knows if these things will even bolt to our trannys? what if they are odd ***** like the d16a1's?
