Default balancing rotating assembly

im putting my motor together and my bddy said that it would be good for me to ge the rotating assembly balanced ivegot probe forged pistions and eagle rods and a stock ls crank,8lb flywheeland stock crank pully the guy at the machine shop said 450.00 to balance every thing is this needed or will i be ok

450 is a lot. im getting my motor balanced for 150.

balance the pistons and rods urself using a digital scale
i wouldnt touch the crank unless there was something wrong with it, ive had bad experiences
