Balancing and lightening the crank shaft???

Re: Balancing and lightening the crank shaft???
I have to agree with the balancing and micro-polish. Way too much money for lightening work and then to have it nitride coated again. Want it to rev faster? Light weight flywheel will take care of that...will suck in traffic though and up hills as a DD.

Re: Balancing and lightening the crank shaft???
I'm a D lover and can't see dropping that kind of money into a SOHC.
But then again my cylinder head for my next D15 is worth over $1000 and I've yet to get springs/retainers.
Lucky for me my porter doesn't work on trannys, we swapped labor. I build his transmissions, he ports A head.

^^ thats nice ...im having my head fully ported and polished with a full comp valavetrain and cam....but if its to expensive to have it lightened im defenitly having it balanced and polished

Re: Balancing and lightening the crank shaft???
i was also thinking pros and cons and a lighter crank would be more suitable for a NA build ..rpms would rise and lower to fast kinda like a lighter and heavier flywheel
