Ha ha... I drove from SC to OH in February w/o a thermostat... I couldn't feel my toes by the time I got there.

you guys really should consider putting one in when you can. ive seen where oil sludges up from not ever running at a decent temp , but antother thign to tihink about is with out a thermostat it can sometimes worse'n the oveheating problem because there is no restriction in the system and then coolent doesnt stay in the raidator long enough to get cool. it just loops around real fast.

i have a 92 civic hatch and i think my thermostat is stuck open... my car never really warms up unless im driving for a long time....but it doesnt mess anything up.....(so far) it's been like this since i got it 7,000 miles ago....plus my heat still works fine whenever i need it....so i dont know just another opinion....

it could be stuck open, but its unlikely. in the last couple years or so they started making thermostats that stick open to prevent over heating problems. they cost more so thats why i say it is unlikely that your car has one of those in it, but its easy to check
