b7-z6 high comp??
Ok need some help on what to due.I am doing my b7-z6 swap,im depating on dueing a high compression 10:5(with y8 head gasket) or keep it down with a b7 head gasket(9
compression) an go turbo later.
But the thing is that the bottom end has 135k on it.So what would be best and if i go high compression what number u think ill put down

200-225ish WHP and the rods are going to let go either way. High compression and low boost gives good response with careful tuning. Besides the Z6/Y8 gasket is MLS and will hold up better and is easier to replace if you ever have to.

d16a6 with high compression 12.1 big cam, bitchin, head etc
mini me all motor is well weak
the rods are pencil thick. Only a jdm d15b that has z6 rods can handle 220 whp and actual normal rippers
Sorry those d15b7/b2 blocks throw rods has fast has a crack ----- blows hotrex for a cracked manifold

I diden't say they would last, just that they will blow at that level no matter what. If I were going to run them I'd cap myself at 175 WHP and even then your never going to get the life Honda ment for them to have.

Simple the rods wont even get to the point you claim. Its not a motor that take it simple. The throw rods becuase well there suppose to
again want a real D that will hold power
jdm d15b or any choice of the d16 motors including zc

slap the z6 head on that b7, chip the ecu and drop in an si tranny, yeehaw, it works surprisingly well. another good combo, use an older a6 block with z6 head, those little babies rock too, oh one more, zc block with d15b head, or just the straight d15b, it's all good, rohc the sohc.
