B20/Vtec or H22a?
which do you think is better reliability wise and potential wise.
a b20z with b18c5 or b16b(civic typeR) cylinder head. anyone know if the b16c5 and typeR head are the same? or a h22a with vtec. and if you choose h22a whether the 92-96/closed deck/smaller main journals or 96+/open deck/larger main journals thanks |
Re:B20/Vtec or H22a?
The h22a is awesome but I have seen alot of problems with the axles snapping and not lasting very long.
The CRVTEC I am not sure of, it definently has to be resleeved. |
Re:B20/Vtec or H22a?
i would figure if you go high horsepower with either setup a person would have to go to custom high strength axles

Re:B20/Vtec or H22a?
anyone else?

Re:B20/Vtec or H22a?
I would go B18c and do a full build on that.. ---- the h22 boat anchor, and the B20 has a shitty RS ratio.

Re:B20/Vtec or H22a?
do you think it would be eaiser to attain higher HP numbers with more displacement
|
Re:B20/Vtec or H22a?
more displacement generally produces more torque.
|
Re:B20/Vtec or H22a?
so 1.8 Liter and 2.2 liter produce same HP with just 2.2 more TQ given they both have the same amout of boost? ::)

Re:B20/Vtec or H22a?
Generally people build 2.0l when doing 1.8l's 84mm
