Default B18C5 Head / B16 Block

Here's the deal. A friend has a Type-R with a torn up block, but the head is in excellent condition. He said he would sell it to me for cheap. Since it would be very difficult to find the parts to fix the lower end, I was wondering if it would be possible to put that head on a B16 block, and get more impressive power then the B16 head.

Any comments, or has anyone ever done this sort of thing?

All the ITR head is a factory ported B16a head, with nicer valve train componets, and larger cams.

So in theroy, yes you will get a bit more power from it.

you can put the head on a b16 or a gsr block if i was you i put on a ls block not crv block if you are putting on a 88-91 crx or civic. if you were to put on a civic then i would go with a crv block if you have the money if not the ls will be find. the great thing about the b-series that they are interchangable.
