I own a 94 GSR will a Skunk2 type R intake manifold work on my head?

 

nope, the b16 and b18c5(itr), are the same, and the b18c1 is all by itself, unless it's the same as the b17, not sure, but i know it won't fit on your c1.

 

Do you know why it wont work, is it because of the secondary intake runners?

 

the same reason a d series won't fit on it, it just doesn't fit

 

Is it the "type r style" intake manifold built for a b18/16 or is it actually off of a type-r? Theres a difference.

If it was designed for a Type-R it will fit but it requires fabrication

 

The coolant passages dont line up. Skunk 2 sells a imitation of the type r manifold as well that is made for you gsr.

 

b17 is a b16 head w/ a longer stroked block. rest of the motor is 100% the same as a b16a.

you have to stick with a intake manifold that is made for a GSR. No choice unless you swap to a b16 or b18c5 (ITR) head.
