b18c1 question gsr
what is the difference between a b18c1 and b16a b18c5. is there something about secondary vtec? if so how do you hook it up if have wire up for a 1st gen b16a in a crx si. and what is the difference the b18c5 and c1 i know the c5 has port and polish head and aggressive cams. i just need how to hook up in my crx. i know i got to change the dizzy to obd 0 for zydne. anything else.
the difference in the b16 and b18c/c5 is obviously for one the displacement. 1.6l and 1.8l
the b18c1 uses a secondary intake thingy doodle. (ya ya shut up)
the b16 and the c5 do not.
the major difference in the c1 amd c5 other then the port and polish is compression.

No it does not..
B18c and C5's are very alike and unalike, pistons & rods are different, same R/S ratio but I'm pretty sure the ITR crank has a special finish on it.
Heads are completely different, The ITR uses a B16a head that has been slighly worked, and has some pretty agressive cam profiles along with a nice valvetrain setup. The B18c head is one of a kind, closed chamber and only the GSR intake manifold will fit it. Both great engines...
