I've laid one engine and two transmissions into 1G MR2 - the last transmission was a FWD model with the starter mouth on the wrong side of the bellhousing... for lack of better tools (or the correct transmission) I dremelled the ---- out of the bellhousing in 45 minutes of sheer disgust.

You don't have a lot of room to hang the turbo up against the head on your MR2, true, but you can route the piping elsewhere in the engine bay. Smurf around some of the manifold threads in the Fab/**** forum and see what makes the hamster wheel in your head spin.

i think i posted it in the other thread but i'm too lazy to read through it. and the only diff with regards to the clutch setup is the Clutch disk
the PP and flywheel are the same

You 100% sure about that, nig nog? Because the 90-91 disc is a bit bigger OD, and I remember the PP's being proportional; plate lining up around the outer edge of the disk pretty well.

1) i don't know much about ef chassis since i live in america, but i am pretty sure they didn't get sohc engine. 2) i am building my first 88-91 sohc now... Aside from adventures as a tuenarboi wiring everything that moves, my *mechanical* expertise is limited to small chassis triumph and their inline 6s, 85-87 si, and 90-91 ls engines in 89 hf. I have 6-7 driuetrains ranging from good to buildable cores. So, yeah, are you sure about the clutch differences?? I am kinda freaking out here because blundar gave me a toda flywheel because i told him it wouldnt work with hydro trans/clutch.
