B18A----B18B

Does anyone know the difference between the B and A. Are the trannys and ecu the same. I have a 91 integ and want to swap the B18B in and need to know what to do. Thanks

I believe the cam profiles and possibly some other small differences done to the B18b head achieved a few more horses than the B18A.

differnt intake mani.2mm larger tb.bigger cams. ecu tuning obd1 of course. ecus are nothin alike.trans are cable vs hydro nothin similar about them.

so if a change the ecu can i use the a tranny or will it not even bolt up??

or what is the best way to make power out of the A without boost. i cant really find any parts for it.

Exhaust cam from a1 to b1 are identicle, however intake cam is quite a bit larger on the b1 model...not to mention the larger intake manifold.
