And one more question qhen combining different parts i.e. head, transmission, block. Where do you begin running into wiring problems such as combineing obd0,obd1,obd2 parts.

I was running a Itr block with a obd-0 b16a head. There is two sensors I belive you cannot connect. One for sure has two prongs and is green on a obd-0 b16a block. You need too run a b16a1 obd-0 dist if your running in your crx unless you plan on rewiring your car for obd-1-1

Well, you have a couple of choices...you can redo your entire wire harness and run the obd0 ecu meant for the b16, or you can just use your existing harness and do some modifying. It all depends on what ecu you're gonna use. If you're staying with the stock pm6, obviously you can't use the vtec solenoid or pressure sender on the unit...you'd have to rig something to activate it (i.e. a msd rpm switch). As for the other sensors, i usually just swap them out of the d16 if i think they are different in any way.

I've always heard that you should use the harness that came with the car not the motor. Really, if you use a obd2 block w/ a obd1 head and obd0 IM all you really have to match up is the electronics to obd0 (for crx).. like the dist and various sensors.

I'd bet some obd1 or obd2 sensors are the same as obd0. Like temp sensors, oil psi, crap like that.

b16a2 block has a knock sensor and the crx dosent. i had to wire it in the ecu.if u putit in a crx u need obd0 dizzy, intake manifold, alternator, run wires for vtec solinoid to the ecu and run a pr3/pwo ecu.they are direct plugin.
