Default monster tach problem

hey whats crackin guys? my tach recently stopped working for some odd reason. i dont know whats wrong with it. i took it to a honda tech to have it installed, and the guy came back and said that my tach was fried? i didnt think you could do that. i have everything hooked up right. when i start the car up, i notice the needle on the tach moving, then it stays at 0 when the car starts. any help would be cool. thanks

NEVER go to a dealer to get aftermarket installed. They are tools. (except jeff )

I bet he tapped the wrong wire. it's a blue wire behind the cluster.

sorry to confuse you man...it wasnt the actual dealer. i took it to a buddy of mine that used to work at one. and he didnt tap into any wire behind the cluster. i dont know how to explain it cuase im a retard. but he un-plugged some type of plug by the distributer and stuck it in there, then plugged it back in. thanks

maybe he "plugged" it into the wrong wire. You want the blue wire at the dist if memory serves me correctly.

do you mean he just pinched it in the connector w/ the pins?
