if you put p72 gsr b18c1 piston it will be 8.9:1 this will be easier to find.

i dont know were you get your info but the gsr even usdm isnt 9.7:1 thats about .3 off of the actual CR which is 10.0:1 and thats the 93 gsr. the 94-and up also have a CR of 10.0:1 as you ca see from the chart:
Honda B18c1 Specs

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
• DOHC VTEC 4 Cylinder 16 Valve
• Hydraulic Transmission
• Diplacement: 1797cc
• Torque: 128 lb-ft@6200
• Horse Power: 170hp@7600
• Compression Ratio: 10.0:1

if you need to brush up on your engine info go to this site :

I think you need to brush up on your info... We are talking about putting in different OEM pistons in the B16a, trying to find a decent compression ratio. Putting a GSR piston that is rated at 10.1 in a GSR doesnt mean its going to be 10.1 in a B16a, they have different deck heights and strokes.

This is a great tool to find out compression ratios using mix matched parts.
