Default b16 b18 oil pans the same?

I searched google and yahoo, and found nothing, so I ask you:

are the b16 and b18 oil pans the same? my b16 oil pan is pretty scraped up, and I have a b18 pan in my garage, I'm thinking when I do my turbo set up since i have to pull the pan anyways I'll swap them so I don't hit bump and finish one of the holes that's already started in my b16 pan. I know the bolt pattern is the same, but are they interchangeable without problems?

Wish I can tell you Kyle... From what I remember there was a difference between the B16 and either the LS or the GSR... I say if they look very similar and will bolt on chances are that its going to work.

the information I found in my search said they have the same bolt pattern, so the gsr must be the oddball. hopefully they're close enough. now that I think about it my oil return for my bigger better turbo might need to be different, so I'll just use the b16 one and hope it doesn't explode so that I can have a fresh ls pan for the next setup.

I dont think the b16 oil pan works on the b18 because its not deep enough for the oil pick.

i'm pretty sure they're the same. i sold a b18a oil pan to a guy to use on his b16 and told him to tell me if it didn't work, he never got back up with me, so i assume it worked i think the gsr is the only different one b/c of the girdle and i think the oil pick up is longer.

using these 2 ideas I'd say that bigger displacement needs more oil, and vtec needs more oil, so LS and b16 are the same, eh?

B16a and LS's are interchangable, but niether one will work on a B18c GSR/ITR because of the main girdle and pickup. But a gsr/itr oil pan will work on all B-series.
