So Im swapping motors this weekend, d16a6 in a 88 crx

My drivers side axle is fucked, both boots are ripped and out of grease im presuming by the amount of grease everywhere

So when I swap motor I know I definetely need to change that one, I orderred both from the store though, there $169.99 each remanufactured, then you get a $90 refund with each core

I really only wanna change one, being as that I dont wanna spend a lot of cash on this swap, but Im worried about the balance or the strength ro whatever else might come into play. Does it really matter?

If the passenger side is good Id like to return the one I buy

Any thoughts?

 

You can replace one you should be fine, the axles should be balanced from end to end individually or what ever no need to replace both is only 1 is bad

 

Werd...I'd only replace the other side if the boot is ripped up, or the cv joint is shot.

 

Im returning it for the core refund so I dont give a ---- whats wrong with it, it was spilling oil and grease for the last 2k

I already paid for both (have to pay to order) so I guess I'll just bring it on back
