Default Auto Ls question

Anybody know if an Auto tranny from a 1993 LS will work on a 1998 LS? gotta side job and the only LS trannies I can find are 93's for some reason.

cool, that worked.

Is $500 (parts and labor) rape? Me and a friend are gonna swap out the tranny, might be 2 hours max. Figure 200 for the tranny, 100 for random unforseen parts or chemicals needed, 100 for me and 100 for my friend's labor...

ur not going too do a auto tranny on ur back in 2 hours. Id never do a Auto without a lift those ******* are heavy

I done a buncha RWD's 1989 Volvo 740 Gl being the Easiest, 3 hours out, in running

88 Benz 560 Sl being one of the shittiest, parts mix-up

How much worse than a D-series tranny are the auto B's

big bulky pile of junk


torque converter sucks




expect atleast 5+hours for rookies. More like set a day for just doing it

I did a 89 DX auto once, it was about the same as a manual to me, just had to figure out that linkage.
