you use big washers and some bolts to 'tighten' the bushings in. you also might wana check out this sight about the trailing arm bushings

i have half of them installed on my hatch, you dont need a press or the bolts and washers to put them in, use a torch to melt the rubber, a sawz-all to cut out the shells, then beat them bitches in with a hammer and a piece of wood.
to make them slide in easier take a wire brush to everything.

If you're a super lazy ---- such as myself, could you pull off the window weld trick while the trailing arm is still on the car?
My bushings are shot to ----, so id have to rig up some 2x4's or something to keep the bushing centered while it was curing, but i figure it'll work out okay.

I don't know about window welding it while it on the car. But when i did mines it wasn't on my car.
It might not dry right while it's on the car. But it depends on the weather where ur at i suppose.

andif i were you i would use polyurithane( unless window stuffis poly ) then you should be OK. A heat gun helps curing time
