Default anybody work on 87 accord

I'm going to help a friend replace his alternator. Is it hard to get to? Does the axle have to come out?

If its EFI then you dont have to take the axle out you can work around it, just take the airbox and air filter out of the back of the engine and pull the alternator out from there. If its carb, this doesnt work, youll have to take the axle out.

I just went ahead and did it. You just have to remove the axle from the steering knuckle, but it doesn't really come down though. You have to remove the sway bar, piece the strut sits in and the rod that connects to the front crossmember.

i had a 89. Take out the axle and move it around until it falls out. Remove the alternator braket to make it come out.
