For all you b20 Non-Vtec out there.

Re:For all you b20 Non-Vtec out there.
i compared the b20b cams to a set of b18a1 cams...
the b20b intake cam definatly had more lift than the b18a1 cam. the exhaust cams seemed to be exactly the same. same markings on em and everything.
the b18b cams may be a +7hp mod for a b20b, but i dont believe the b18a cams wuold do that. b18b 140hp b18a 130hp
as for the b20b head, the intake ports aer MUCH bigger than a b18a head, the exhaust ports the same however. also the b20b intake manifold has MUCH bigger ports, to match the head. the runners are quite a bit larger.
i bought some b18b cams off ebay for 17 bucks. its been a ------ month and i havent got them yet. but hope i still will... ill put em in and see if i gain 17000 hp or a dissapointing ~5hp.
we'll see

Re:For all you b20 Non-Vtec out there.
i highly doubt it. if anything they are the same...
oh and theres no b20 manifold that works, the older ones are super tall and the newer ones have a hole in the top of them for a resonator chamber that goes on the top.
use a skunk2 intake mani or a b18b intake mani.
anyway b20b is rated at 126 hp 133 tq and b20z 146 and 133. ive had both and the b20z is alot better.

(98 down B20B vs B18b Integra)
(99 Up JDM B20B / US B20Z)
Also... save yourself some time/money once you get those cams... auction them off on ebay as you will not notice any difference...been there, done that

Re:For all you b20 Non-Vtec out there.
Random strike... you must have a ported head because the b18b and the b20b/z heads are EXACTLY THE SAME... even have the same part #... also, the manifold on you car looks like an LS to me... I do swaps all day and my good friend runs an engine importing business (P & G Motors - Rialto,CA) and I've only seen 2 kinds of b20 manifolds:
and you cant tell me the heads are exactly the same cause i had them sittin next to each other. and the intake ports are WAY BIGGER.
that intake manifold is off the same jap engine jeff got...

Re:For all you b20 Non-Vtec out there.
just cus you got it that way doesn't mean it was made that way... who's to say someone didn't put it on in its original market (maybe it was in a swapped car) Now that i think of it , there is a van/wagon thingy in the jap market that is b20 powered and might use that manifold... can you do us a favor and look at the code on the back of the manifold (i.e. PR4, P75)
