You guys are approaching this wrong. A welded chamber head will give you all the compression you need for a street build and wow its easy and cheap. Ive run them. Mr Frank and the wheeze ran one.


Bone is doing stuff that is very involved and above what most want to do for a D.

how much to weld 4 chambers, the have machined?

Your looking at $500 into it alone assuming proer heating of the head casting before welding them up, the machine flat, then cc and other clean up machining.

I'm still under $200 so far on this build using OEM parts without any fancy machine work.

Goal is to unseat "da wheeze"

Think how the old hot rodders did it, I'm doing the same thing. "The World's Fastest Indian" should give you an idea on my mindset.
