Hey guys, need a little help choosing parts for the rear disc brake setup on my civic. I want to use integra trailing arms and calipers, mainly because they are easier to find at a salvage yard than civic SI's. I understand all that swapping, but the real bitch is the proportioning valve. I've read that you can use an SI proportioning valve but does that require the SI disc brakes, or are the SI rear discs the same as the integras? My main concern is I want the propvalve to swap with my brake lines as is ( I don't want to reroute brake lines to fit a propvalve). I think the integra propvalve is a different shape from the civic and civic SI one.

I've been using that for instructions, It looks like the SI propvalve he swapped was the exact same shap as the stock EX one. And from what they say on their swap EX master cylinders probably don't have to be replaced as they are very close in size to the SI.

I just want to make sure I have the right combination of parts for my swap. From what I understand from the Hazone swap these parts will work:

- Integra trailing arms
- SI propvalve
- EX civic master cylinder


any suggestions welcome

You dont NEED the prop valve or Si master cyl... you already have the same brakes as an SI in the front and the prop valve in there now acts like a 4 disc brake one as soon as the rear pads hit the disc anyways... unless regular use im sure you wont be able to tell the difference.... and the slightly larger master cyl on the SI just helps with pedal feel, I wouldnt worry about it.

If you wanna upgrade the master cyl, the teg type-r one bolts up as long as you dont have ABS.

This is where I ran into issues with my rear disc swap (I have a 97 EX w/ABS = Si-G in Canada) most of the stuff for mine is still sitting in the shed since I havent got around to doing it yet.

Yes, you need the prop valve from either the SI, HX, DX, or LX civic 96-00. They are all the same. The EX has the bastard prop valve. If you don't replace the prop valve your rear brakes will lock up when have to stop really fast and you will most likely spin out of control.

Don't bother with any other prop valve. The 92-95 civcs and non-ABS integra's have a different shape one and it will be a real pitta to make all of the lines fit.
