check rad fluid

 

You know I have been fighting with my car about that for 3 month's now.
You're rad fluid is definately the prob, I think you have a leakage somewhere or you waterpump seal is broke.
My waterpump was bleadin' off to much coolant I took it of friday seal broke at the bearings. You should hear a wining sound where the waterpump is at when your car is started. If you drove like this for a while check you thermostat, cause it will get damaged I had to replace mine to. Without rad fluid my CRX's rpm went to 3000 and back down on and on, really anoying and it heated up to redline . I changed my radiator fan switch to cause my fan didn't turn on, but that wasn't the problem...there was almost no rad fluid

if it was the rad or waterpump leaking wouldnt i see fluid leaking??

 

depends.. could be just burning it up a little at a time.. doesnt hurt to checck, takes 30 seconds.

 

if its the temp coolant sensor where can i get one and can i install it myself

 

the prob started on fri and now its mon and its like nothing ever happend whats the deal

 

Does your car have the secondary idle air control valve?

have you bleed your cooling system?

 

im not sure about the secondary idle air control valve (what is it)

and no i have never bled the system

 

u said its running fine now??
