yeah I already read all those. That is what made me interested in this whole forum. You guys are beast. Anwyay my friend said he could get me a d16z6 or a6 for around $300 so I guess 400 is deff possible for a price. But after that another 5-800 for a possible 200-220 hp and matching torque numbers im sure.

My grandpa went and looked at the car and said it looked decent but it still has the b16 in it so they have to take it out and I have plenty of time to decide. The chassis has over 220k miles on it and my grandpa doesnt like that (been in the car game for over 50 years). So he is kinda turning his head a little already. I have to figure out motor prices for a d16a6 or d16z6 and get plans for it fast. Plus I wanna do something to the suspension or somethng cause im sure its beat.

What kinda stuff do you guys think I will need to do to the car? I know that is a question outta the blue but bushings, and stuff like that. How much should I spend on the car itself before the motor just for insurance. I plan on almost doing like a ghetto restore on the car since its only $400. Ill just work threw the car gradually and tackle as many things as I can while the car is outta commision for the motor swap and probably the turbo install too since it will be at different times.

I know alot of this sounds like im talking outta my *** but believe me it will happen. As long as I can continue to convince my grandpa and as long as this car convinces me we will be in business. I gotta take a look at the car myself and find out what kinda motor they are putting back in the car for me and the condition on that and the suspension and stuff too.

Oh and its a 89 5 speed ill get some pics and stuff maybe even tommorow if I can or maybe sometime this week.

Please continue to give me ideas and stuff. I need to make sure im getting myself into a honda and not a shitmobile. I know how some cars become moneypits but that is due to poor maintance and care but others are just already fucked. I know that a motor will solve the running problem but I dont want the car to fall apart or anything. So what should I worry about?
