VTEC oil line is to throw the pins, it is seperate from the mid-back of the block oil feed for the head that is universal for most-all Honduh engines that provides cam lubrication and stuffs.

I really need to crack off the heads on the B16 and the B18 I have, I've never played with this DOHC VTEC stuff before...

If I'm not running the external oil line, I leave the oil plug out of the head right?

so where you're going with this is that on a blown ls/vtec, locking it in will enable you to get more flow lower than you normally could because of the extra lift and duration?

Eh, it helps spool a bit, but you're still down on power in the lower rpms. Not that you have ever or oever will make significant power in the lower rpms - which is my whole point and why I don't care.

Now change your damn name.

Reread the context; free head with issues that pops in and out of v-tech because it is slopped the ---- out.
