Look, JDM-Faggotry-2k, I've been doing this a bit longer than you've been sexually active AND I'm a much sharper crayon than you are. I do things for specific reasons that you lack the knowledge or experience to know. If you are curious why I'm more than happy to explain why, but I'm getting a little tired of comments from the ----------ing peanut gallery. Engines spool quicker in v-tech, and I could care less about a ****** 8 hp at 2500 rpm when the last car I locked in v-tech made 404 hp on a log manifold and pump gas. I recommend you do two things: stfu n00b and change your name to something not-GayDM.

holy christ joey, go drink some drano. Can we make it 3 days without getting into a pissing contest? Wasn't koncking it, just didn't see the need to disable a system that the honda engineers, who i'm sure have more knowledge than any of us, designed. Now if you would care to enlighten me into you little engineering adventure then i'll listen, maybe you do have something. And for christ sakes find something new to bash me aobut besides my damn scrreen name.

VTEC is a marketing campaign aimed at the gadget market. Like most gadgets it is a fad, it does nothing.

Free almighty v-tech heads that pop in and out of v-tech because they are slopped out high mileage piles of swill can either be thrown away or recycled. Since VTEC lowcam < LS cam, it is imperative to run solely off the highcam profile if recycling. I've been around a while, and seriously the sort of people who won't disable VTEC for fear of losing bottom end have without exception slow ---- not worth owning... I hear so many excuses for not getting the job done it's sad. All that matters is the holy trinity of brute force induction of airmass, thermal management, and traction. If you need stock idles, 8 extra whp at 2500 rpm, and a clean set of tuenar rimz over sheer power to weight... then your ---- isn't fast and you probably like getting assrammed by dairy cattle.

Take a look at the pins, Brett.

If you're locking the cam into VTEC, what does that do to oil pressure?

It's on an LS/VTEC, we never ran the external oil feed.

Never even thought that part out, if I'm locking it in, I don't need the extra oil pressure in the head? I'm running on very little sleep here, I'm hoping I'm keeping this straight in my head.
