Default 1982 civic hybrid???

i picked up a 1982 civic 1500dx hatch, and i was contemplating a d-series or even a b-series swap.
i realize custom work for the mounts and wiring will need to be done, but as far as axles... what have you guys seen? i know this is a pretty rare swap, but ANY info would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

there is a 2g civic section at http://www.civic1200.com/discus/

79-83 Accord/79-82 Prelude motors are 1800cc's, torquey, and a super-easy swap. I've got a rebuilt '81 Accord engine w/ an '82 tranny in my 82 civic sedan. Make sure you use an '82-'83 tranny cause they've got the cable clutch mechanism you need. The motor kicks donkey w/ a weber, and the tranny runs superbly at freeway speeds. I've raved about it elsewhere if you do a search. Lots 'o' stuff in that search function.
