hey i just got a civy with a d16y8, i want to eventually go HMT. Has any turboed their d16y8? any tips if so? I have been driving an explorer for 2 years so this civic stock feels quick though i knowits not, any tips on how to actually make it quick if i didnt go forced induction or nitro? How much would chaning out the stock internals really do? i know it would be expensive but would it be worth it? well thanks for any feedback.

 

Stock internals will not make the car any faster. It just helps to withstand the abuse of major turbo. I'm building a y8 right now.

 

that's funny, I went from an explorer to a turbo EX civic ('96) just boost it man, there are a ton of people with boosted Y8's they run good.

 

I had an explorer but she fucked a tree so i got a boosted y8 now

 

i don't think you can put turbos on y8's
