Default ZC engine ....help :(

My ZC swap is not runngin right. I have replaced the timing belt gave it a basic tune up and this is what i got. Stock zc with a intake. It misses(feels like it shuts off actually) right at 2100 like clock work. ABove or below that rpm it runs great. under light throttle however between say 2700-3300 it feels like it is hesitatin and missing, almost like hitting a fuel cut. any sensors....or anythign i could have missed? please help me!

is it throwing any CEL's?

I had the same problem with a B20 swap, and I noticed that if I left the tank under 1/4 full it would do it. Keep more fuel in it, and no problems.....could be a vapor problem, I dont know, but I just keep it around 1/2 tank and im fine.

BTW, this should go into the hybrid/tech section.
ask a mod to move it.

everything was fine up till this. AFter this started i changed the fuel filter...no effect.....adjusted the timing....no effect....changed the cap/rotor/wires/plugs...no effect.....then my timing belt blew.....slapped a new one on there...no bent valves....same problem though....I am at a total loss for what could be happening... oh i ran two tanks of heavy fuel system cleaner through the car as well...no effect1
I have a new fuel pump, i need to install it though i thought that might be causeing this(what do you think?) it is strange because it is totally RPM dependant!
